Terms of Use and Sale
These terms protect the project while preserving every mandatory right granted to consumers.
Operator and scope
This website is operated by Antons Vasiljevs under the eWriti name in Latvia. These terms govern use of the site, product-interest requests and, once enabled, online sales of eWriti devices.
At present, submitting a request is not an order, reservation, guarantee of availability or contract. No payment is taken by the request form. Full statutory trader identity, geographic address, registration information where applicable, total price and delivery terms will be supplied before a binding purchase.
Product status and permitted reliance
Product images, interface renders, readings, features and specifications may represent a developing prototype and can change before sale. A binding order is governed by the description shown at checkout and in the order confirmation.
eWriti is a consumer information device, not an emergency warning service, calibrated scientific instrument or substitute for official meteorological alerts. Lightning distance and weather readings may be delayed, incomplete or affected by conditions. Never rely on the device as the sole basis for decisions involving life, health, aviation, navigation, property protection or outdoor safety.
Orders and acceptance
A checkout submission is an offer to buy. We may reject or cancel it before dispatch for stock errors, pricing or payment errors, suspected fraud, sanctions/export restrictions, delivery limitations or a material product issue. A contract is formed only when we expressly accept the order or dispatch the product, whichever the confirmation states.
Automated acknowledgement only confirms receipt. Customers must provide accurate contact and delivery information and may not purchase for unlawful resale, reverse engineering that violates applicable law, or prohibited export.
Prices, payment and taxes
The final checkout shows the product price, applicable tax and delivery charge before payment. Prices may change before an order is accepted but not afterwards. Payment is processed by Stripe or another disclosed provider; their terms and privacy information also apply.
For deliveries outside the EU, the recipient may be responsible for import VAT, customs duties, brokerage fees and local compliance unless checkout expressly says those charges are included.
Delivery, title and risk
Available countries, charges and estimates are shown before purchase. Estimates are not guaranteed dates unless expressly agreed. For EU consumers, risk passes when the customer or a nominated third party physically receives the goods. If no delivery period is agreed, mandatory statutory deadlines remain applicable.
Withdrawal, returns and guarantee
EU consumers normally have 14 days from receipt to withdraw without giving a reason. The detailed process, return-cost allocation, refund rules and model notice are in our Shipping & Returns Policy. Mandatory conformity remedies and the minimum two-year EU legal guarantee are not limited by these terms.
Intellectual property and acceptable use
The eWriti name, site design, device appearance, graphics, software, copy and other original material are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. No licence is granted except the limited right to use the site for lawful personal or business evaluation.
Users must not attack, scrape at disruptive volume, bypass controls, upload malicious material, impersonate others, submit unlawful content, probe protected routes or interfere with availability. We may block abusive traffic and preserve relevant evidence.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, eWriti is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, opportunity or data, or loss caused by reliance on prototype descriptions, unofficial weather readings, third-party services, misuse or events outside reasonable control.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or mandatory consumer rights. For consumers, any contractual cap applies only to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
Governing law and disputes
Latvian law governs, without depriving an EU consumer of mandatory protections of the country of habitual residence. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law remain available. Before proceedings, please contact us through the website so we can try to resolve the matter.
The former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued in July 2025. Consumers may use a competent national alternative dispute resolution body or the European Consumer Centres Network where applicable.
General
If a clause is invalid, it is limited or removed only as necessary and the remainder continues. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. We may update these terms prospectively; the terms accepted for an existing order remain applicable to that order unless law requires otherwise.
